After lines are drawn they may need to be changed. This is done by selecting them. Multiple lines can be selected and deselected using the icon buttons above or their associated menu and keystroke options. The blue Pointer in the top left side of the workspace can be used to select lines in several ways.

  • To select a single line, move the pointer to the line and click on it.
  • To add more lines, hold down the shift key and click on additional lines.
  • To deselect a line that has already a selected line, click on it.
  • Draw a rectangle around the lines to be selected by holding the left mouse button down as you move the cursor over multiple lines.

Caveat: the icon options above do not appear when you are working with a split screen. The Studio screen needs to be stretched wider to see them.

Selecting Points

Select Points This icon at the top left of the working area selects a point on a line which can then be dragged to a different location. It is particularly useful for fine tuning the shape of curves.

This video fine tunes the Master pattern. It demonstrates how to select and change points in straight and curved lines. The specific example shows how to change the dart point from outside the Bust Circle to the Bust Apex which is critical when changing dart locations.
